Alun. Thank you for your part in making my family’s Ireland vacation wonderful.
When I think about the logistics of our trip it feels complicated! We had golfers and non-golfers. People coming in to the itinerary and people leaving early. Not to mention the one of emergency departure. Beyond handling everything expertly, you went above and beyond to make adjustments for us so that we would get the most benefit from our time in Ireland.
In discussing the golf experiences with my family we agreed that among the seven courses we played you had done an expert job at finding a good mix of styles of courses, layouts and venues. The courses ranged from extremely challenging to those with beautiful views, to a course with a very unique layout including being built around the ruins of an old nunnery.
Two examples of how expertly the itinerary was laid out are the first day and the last. We arrived in Ireland on the redeye from Atlanta and our family had varying levels of energy and enthusiasm to get started (or get to the hotel and take a nap). Day one for us was the monastic ruins at Glendalough. After an unscheduled stop for lunch at the seaside town of Bray (our driver from Collins Transportation was terrific!) we arrived at the ruins. What a wonderfully peaceful place to spend the first day walking, understanding the history, and simply allowing each member of our party to move at their own pace.
On our last day we went to Giant’s Causeway. We had no real understanding of what this site was so believe me, we were amazed at its natural beauty and the wonders that our planet can create. We took the free guided tour there, and we are glad we did. The rangers were knowledgeable.
My family had a wonderful experience in large part because your team selected such meaningful balance of historical, cultural, and golf experiences. I can’t thank you enough for this terrific experience. I will certainly recommend you to my friends and if I can do anything to return your kindness I am delighted to do so, just ask.
Thank you for my entire family.
